Hello Fellow Quilters! It’s that time of year again: the 8th Annual Sierra to Sage Shop Hop! The theme this year is “Color Theory in a Basket. Thet Annual Sierra 2 Sage Shop Hop features 12 of your favorite premiere quilt shops from Carson City, Dayton, Gardnerville, Fallon, Fernley, Minden, Portola, and Reno – including yours’ truly: Sew-n-Such!
As part of the Shop Hop, participants receive a FREE 12 inch (finished-sized) block pattern from each shop. Since we are exploring color theory this year, I thought we would play with Neutrals. Neutral colors are also known as earth tones and don’t show up on a color wheel. Pure neutrals include black, white, and all grays. Near neutrals include browns, tans, and darker colors. The block from Sew-n-Such this year is built with black, white, gray, and a touch of metallic silver. The design incorporates clear plastic pockets to insert photos of your loved ones and friends – perfect to showcase those special people in your life!
